Petals In The Snow
As the chill of winter weighs heavy on this burdened
heart ... I have succumbed to those moments when
your presence lingers with me ... when I'm able to
rest in the serenity of your whispers and the comfort
of your embrace; I surrendered my heart under the
breath of a summer sky so long ago ... and even
now when all that remains are crimson petals
cast upon a blanket of snow ...
it's still yours
Though you're gone I can never release sweet
memories that remain etched in my soul so
devotedly ... it's your breath I feel when I lie
in bed at night ... it's your warmth that delivers
me from night chills that would otherwise freeze
forever any thoughts of happiness; I cannot be
sad when I sense you near ... I am numb to
death's icy tendrils and brush them off like
unwanted snowflakes upon my heart ...
it's ever you I seek
My eternal love you have ... a devotion that
time nor distance can ever diminish ... immortal
sentiments that will draw me close to you should
the days rest heavy and my spirit grow weary;

Sorry it took so long for me to reply...heck I may not even get to catch up on what I have tonight..as far as comments go..LOL
Yes I had a good holiday weekend..but it was too short..I am sure I share that thought with many others as well. LOL
So how have you been feeling? The healing coming along ok for you?
I hope you have a good weekend and don't get burned up.

I haven't sent you a profile message in nearly one week, and it's always a pleasure to message you. You're a great friend and I thank you for encouraging me while my health has been giving me so many problems. Slowly but surely I'm going to have the strength again to send you many more messages in the future.
In the meantime, I thought you would enjoy a little Joan Jett.
There are some hours in the day when I question whether or not I'll even see my 27th birthday on August the 15th, and then there are other hours in the day when I know I'm going to live to see 70 or 80 years old just because of great friends like you who keep pushing me to succeed.
I use my Nebulizer Machine once every six hours and that makes my breathing much easier. Sometimes I feel like over-using it, but I'm just following what my doctor ordered me to do. My cardiologist also has me eating certain foods, and I can't eat anything else. So far, I'm following everything to perfection. And also my medications I'm taking on time... So I'll be fine in that regard also.
